Mirrored keeps two copies, so a single drive can fail without losing data (recommended). Striped combines both drives for ~double the space but no redundancy — one drive failure loses everything unless you keep a separate backup.
Mirroring is not a backup. Real backups are separate copies; optional encrypted box-to-box replication sends them to a second location you control. We'll walk through your backup plan at build.
